Fondazione Umberto Veronesi was founded in 2003 on the initiative of Professor Umberto Veronesi with the aim of supporting research method scientific excellence, through the provision of research grants for doctors and researchers, and to promote the proper dissemination of science, so that the results and discoveries of science become the heritage of all.
Gold for kids is Umberto Veronesi's project dedicated to the fight against pediatric cancer. It was born in 2014 with two main objectives: to finance the daily work of the best researchers who dedicate their lives to the study of these pathologies and to finance the opening and management of treatment protocols, guaranteeing small and young patients immediate access to the best therapies for all forms of cancer, in compliance with the highest international standards.
